Principal Accountabilities

Job responsibilities:

  • Monitor, control, and troubleshoot coatings batch operations & equipment. Monitor coating batches and levels to maintain a consistent supply of coatings to multiple Film Lines accordingly.
  • Ensure coating solutions are properly prepared for running products on the film lines and that coatings equipment is cleaned and operating properly.
  • Assist the film line operators in trouble shooting quality and runnability issues to ensure quality product is being produced.
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of coating equipment.
  • Routine sample testing of solutions.
  • Housekeeping of coating areas.
  • Understand films process flow and coordinate coating changeovers for multiple film lines.
  • Communicates to coating asset team members as needed on improvements.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and housekeeping.
  • Responsible for transportation of coating materials to designated locations via forklift
  • Ensure all unused chemicals are disposed of properly
  • Assist with Production and Research and Development trials as needed

 

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Job requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED from a school accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or state/county of residence.
  • 3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work safely in a team environment.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and engaged in learning.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to adapt and flex to production schedule changes.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals.
  • Supports peer to peer training.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to track and maintain multiple coating processes at the same time using computer controls and manual systems.
  • Willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts- 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 weeks day shift, 4 weeks night shift.

  • The salary range for this position is $30.40 with progression up to $33.35. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
